Consider for backlinks (list 2)

Domains listed in the consider for backlinks (list 2) list are 'friends of competitors' that should be considered as candidates to approach for backlinks. This means they are competitor referrer or competitor shared referrer domains, as well as meeting other eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria

To appear in the consider for backlinks (list 2) list, a domain must meet these criteria:

NOTE It is also possible for a domain to appear in this list because it appears in the whitelist.

For example, in the following illustration, domains A, B, C, and D are all competitor referrer or competitor shared referrer domains for a competitor domain (which appears at the centre):

In the main visualisation of a report interactive, the 'Eco spam max' view re-colours the domains to indicate their Eco spam max scores. Dark grey indicates a zero score (the best), and then bands from yellow to red indicate progressively higher scores.

Domain B has an Eco spam max score in the 31-59 range, which immediately renders it ineligible for the consider for backlinks (list 2) list. Although domain C has an Eco spam max score in the 1-15 range, that does not disqualify it. So, only domains A and C will appear in the consider for backlinks (list 2) list.

In the main visualisation of a report interactive, the 'Consider for backlinks (list 2)' view re-colours all domains to indicate their domain type. All domains NOT in the Consider for backlinks (list 2) list are dimmed.
